At CU-UP, AI is embedded in all discipline-specific courses across 14 schools, from Microbiology to Branding & Advertising and Journalism to Data Science & many more, so students learn it where it matters most to their careers.
Life Sciences, Where AI Meets Discovery
BSc Microbiology has AI integrated into its curriculum well beyond the traditional microbiology classroom, a standout example of AI across disciplines. BSc Biotechnology, MSc Biotechnology, and B.Tech Biotechnology have AI credits too, with Immunology/Computational Biology in Semester IV of B.Tech Biotechnology. BSc Forensic Science adds a Foundation AI course as an optional route.
Business and Management Where AI Meets Strategy
In Semester IV, BBA Branding & Advertising students will learn AI in Branding & Creative Execution and Generative AI for Advertising Content. BBA FinTech includes mastering Excel and ChatGPT in Semester II and Machine Learning for Finance in Semester IV. MBA Data Science & AI program includes AI Governance. Across MBA programs, AI applications are offered within subjects such as HR, GBM, cost accounting, digital marketing & more, with further AI options in optional catalogues.
Data Science and Computing, Where AI Is the Subject
The Data Science students, irrespective of a BSc, BCA, or any other program, study Machine Learning in Semester IV; for example, MSc Data Science offers Machine Learning with Lab in Semester II, with Generative AI available as an optional elective. B.Tech CSE (General, Cyber, Data Science and IoT) includes Principles of AI as a required course.
Advanced Computing at Postgraduate Level
MTech CSE & AI/ML takes students into Deep Learning and Optimization in Semester II, and MCA AIML into Machine Learning and Optimization. MCA General includes Natural Language Processing in its Semester IV taught route.
