How to Apply at Chandigarh University, UP

Applicant may purchase CUCET brochure cum form from University Admission offices/ Authorised centres by paying ₹1000.

Step for Offline application process for CUCET:

Visits CUCET website: https://cucet.cuchd.in for registration.

• Register on the CUCET registration page and create your profile.
• After successful registration, a confirmation message is sent through SMS/E-mail.
• Once registered, pay a registration fee of Rs. 1000, which includes the digital copy of the prospectus.
• Scratch the CUCET form and fill in the unique number given on the form in the option available on the website.
• Fill in your current qualification with your school name & subjects, and choose the CUCET date available in the dropdown.
• Appear in the CUCET on the scheduled date & time through www.cucet.cuchd.in with your registered login details.
• The result will be intimated through e-mail and will also be displayed on CUCET website in your login account.

EXAM MODE: The test will be conducted in the online mode only

EXAM DURATION: The duration of the test will be 120 minutes

IMPORTANT DATES : Registration start date – Oct/Nov 2024.

EXAM METHODOLOGY

• There will be 100 on multiple choice
• Syllabus and distribution of questions shall be as per annexure
• One mark will be awarded for every correct answer
• No negative marking

For renewal of scholarship it is mandatory that the students admitted under all the above schemes shall have to maintain a minimum of 7.5 CGPA in regular semester exam (Year in case of Pharm. D Program) in first chance without any semester/Year drop in case of Pharm.D Program (with NO “E”, “F”, “I” or “Not Qualified” grades) failing which the scholarship shall be discontinued.

The students of Chandigarh University, who seek admission in Chandigarh University after qualifying degree will be provided scholarship equivalent to 10% of yearly fee for entire duration of the program.

The Chandigarh University provides 10% concession on yearly fee to single girl child for entire duration of the program.

The Chandigarh University provides 10% concession on yearly fee to the wards of teachers for entire duration of the program (Teachers of Govt. / Govt. recognized schools/ colleges/ universities) provided the teacher should have at least one-year regular service. Maximum 5% of total seats in each program shall be offered under this scheme.

The University offers 10% concession on yearly fee to one of the siblings studying in any faculty of Chandigarh University, till the time both the siblings are studying in the university. The concession will be allowed to continue even after the passing out of one sibling.

The Chandigarh University provides 10% concession on yearly fee to both female siblings for entire duration of the program. The concession will be allowed to continue even after the passing out of one sibling.

As a gesture of appreciation and salutation to our Defence Forces who are always there to protect our borders and our lives, Chandigarh University has devised a Reservation cum Fee Waiver Scheme for Defence Personnel, wards and their spouse. This scheme is also a part of our social responsibility towards special sections of our society.

AFEWS is a unique scheme for reserving seats in all courses for the wards and spouse of Indian Defence Personnel of different categories. Wards and spouse of different categories of Defence personnel admitted under the above scheme will also be given benefit of freeship in prescribed semester fee.

5% seats in all courses of Chandigarh University shall be reserved for the wards and spouses of Defence Martyrs and their immediate dependent members.

All Defence Personnel serving and retired, their spouse and wards in the following manner.

Priority In Reservation

Order of priority under the scheme: -

• War widows and wards of war
• War injured and released defense personnel, spouses and their
• War disabled defense personnel, getting super-annuated, spouses and their
• Wards of serving defence
• Wards of retired defence

Details Of Concession

Concession shall be as follows: -

• Concession equivalent to 15% of yearly fee for the war widows and wards of war causalities, war injured and released defence personnel, spouse and their wards, war disabled defence personnel, getting super-annuated, spouse and their wards.
• Concession equivalent to 10% of yearly fee for the wards/Spouse of serving and retired defence personnel.
• Concession equivalent to 10% of yearly fee for the wards/Spouse of paramilitary forces

Officers on Study Leave

Defence officers in service who want to take up the courses during their study leave will be separately offered 1% seats subject to minimum of 1 seat in each course. Concession will be given equivalent to 20% Semester fee.

The Wards/Spouse and real brother/sisters of Only Chandigarh University staff’s having at least one-year regular service will be offered 50% concession in academic fees. It will continue till the staff member is working with the Chandigarh University.

• 20% of concession will be given in case of Orphan
• 10% of concession will be given in case of Single

10% concession will also be allowed to the real brother/ sister/spouse/Wards of the alumni student of this University.

Scholarship proposed for Sikh Community students in Varanasi for 5 years’ worth Rs. 64.56 Crores for first 250 student’s intake (2023-2027).

Eligibility for Scholarship: -

• The Sikh community students of Varanasi who have passed Senior-Secondary from any state or central recognized board will be eligible to avail this scholarship for encouraging them for higher education at Chandigarh University.
• All Sikh community students who have passed Graduation from any state or central recognized University will be eligible to avail this scholarship for their higher education at Chandigarh University.

Criteria for availing the Scholarship for availing scholarship mentioned in Point

• Family income shall not exceed 5,00,000 per annum and a valid income certificate from competent authority of the area to be annexed with application for admission.
• Scholarship of 50% will be allowed up to 250 students on first come first served basis
• For the continuation of scholarship in next year, policies of Chandigarh University shall be adhered to.
• Students must have valid address and ID proof of Varanasi, Uttar
• Scholarship will be applicable on academic fees
• Scholarship for student taking admission in 2027 will be continued up to completion of the course.

For renewal of scholarship it is mandatory that the students admitted under all the above schemes shall not have any Semester/Year drop (In case of Pharma. D. Program) and NO “E”,

“F”, “I” or “Not Qualified” grades in regular semester/Year exam in first chance failing which the concession shall be discontinued.

• If the scholarship gets discontinued in one year due to not maintaining the mandatory requirements and in the coming year if the student maintains the minimum mandatory criteria. the student can apply for the scholarship again, however, in that case, the student would be eligible for only 50 percent of the earlier sanctioned scholarship in the consequent year of study.

• Student scholarship document should be verified by the admission counsellor with signature and E-code before applying for scholarship on CUIMS.
