Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, unveils iOS Development Centre to Empower Next-Generation Innovators

India’s First AI-Augmented Multidisciplinary University, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, marked a historic moment of immense pride and honor by welcoming Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, to the campus for SynHERgy: AI-Driven Innovation for Women Empowerment. The event stood as a powerful symbol of the university’s commitment to shaping the future through inclusivity, innovation, and advanced technology for women's empowerment.

During her visit, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated a series of transformative initiatives and facilities at the CU-UP campus. She commended the university’s rapid progress, highlighting how CU-UP has established robust infrastructure with high-tech labs, modern academic facilities, AI-powered classrooms, and dedicated AI innovation spaces, setting new benchmarks for futuristic education in the region.

Nari Scheme - Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion (Women in Tech)

A key highlight of the event was the formal launch of the Nari Scheme - Nurturing AI Revolution for Inclusion (Women in Tech), developed by Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh Campus. This forward-looking initiative places women at the center of Uttar Pradesh’s technological transformation. Backed by an annual budget of ₹2.20 crore, the Nari scheme focuses on:

  • AI skilling & technology upskilling
  • Startup incubation and entrepreneurial support
  • Health, wellness & preventive care
  • Leadership development for women across the state

Over the next three years, the scheme aims to:

  • Train 1,500 women in tech skills
  • Support 150 women-led startups
  • Conduct health screenings for 2,000 women

Each year, the initiative will directly benefit 600 - 800 women, giving them access to new opportunities in technology and leadership. The scheme aligns strongly with Mission Shakti and Uttar Pradesh’s Startup Policy, contributing to the creation of a vibrant women-led tech ecosystem.

Speaking at the launch, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, emphasized that the NARI Scheme will bring new avenues in technology, startups, research, health, wellness, and self-reliance for women across the state. She shared that such initiatives will play an instrumental role in shaping the India of tomorrow and unlocking new pathways of innovation.

Launch of CUBE - Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship

Furthering its mission of empowering the next generation of innovators, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, unveiled CUBE - Centre for Universal Business and Entrepreneurship.

This state-of-the-art center is designed to help young entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh transition from idea to scalable startup, offering:

  • Capital mobilization support
  • Structured incubation programs
  • A dedicated 200-hour Women Founder initiative (CUBE Track) focusing on
    • Business design
    • Go-to-market strategy
    • Compliance & regulatory readiness

Through CUBE:

  • 50+ women-led startups will be incubated annually
  • Seed support of ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh will be offered to each startup.
  • Over 30 women-led ventures will receive annual funding.
  • Startups will be supported through angel & VC connects, peer mentoring circles, and market access
  • A minimum two-year survival rate of at least 40% will be ensured for startups.

CUBE is also integrated with major government schemes such as Mudra, Stand-Up India, and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), enabling entrepreneurs to access capital faster and more efficiently.

During the inauguration, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji appreciated Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh’s decision to expand to the sacred land of Uttar Pradesh. She also highlighted that the upcoming AI City and Centre of Excellence in Lucknow will unlock new possibilities in the education sector and strengthen the state’s connection to the next technological revolution.

She further noted that the launch of CU-UP’s world-class, tech-driven residential facility reflects the university’s dedication to ensuring the dignity, safety, and progress of female students.

HPV Vaccination Drive Launch for Cervical Cancer Prevention

Reinforcing the university’s commitment to women’s health, Smt. Anandiben Patel Ji inaugurated the HPV Vaccination Drive at CU UP, aimed at protecting women against cervical cancer.

She emphasized the importance of early awareness, timely vaccination, and prioritizing preventive healthcare. The initiative stands as a meaningful step toward building a healthy and cancer-free society, ensuring that young women are empowered not only through education but also through wellness and care.
