Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh - India’s First AI-Augmented Multidisciplinary Campus Inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.

A historic day unfolded in Uttar Pradesh, as Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, opened its doors to its first batch of students with a grand and historic inauguration by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.

Hosted by Rajya Sabha MP and Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Satnam Singh Sandhu the event was graced by dignitaries like cabinet ministers Nand Gopal Gupta, Yogendra Upadhyay, and Dr. Swami Sachidanand Hari Sakshi Maharaj. The event also welcomed industry leaders like Mr. Amit Chaudhary (KPMG), Mr. Suraj Chhetri (Airbus India & South Asia), and Mr. Viyom Jain (Nagarro) along with hundreds of students and parents.

Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, first planted a tree, echoing the message of India’s Prime Minister to care for the earth as we advance in technology, which was followed by unveiling the foundation stone of the university.

The Hon’ble CM then addressed the august gathering, stating it as a culmination of visionary planning and a giant step towards the dream of Viksit Bharat. He praised the university for being in alignment with the National Education Policy of India and developing a campus of world-class repute that integrates the use of AI in agriculture, healthcare, science, technology, and others. With an investment of ₹2500 crores, CU-UP stands as the most advanced among all the 47 private universities in the state, remarked the Hon’ble Chief Minister, pointing out that the campus is a future hub for higher education and new standards of academic excellence. He highlighted that CU-UP will produce global leaders, thinkers, and innovators in Uttar Pradesh.

Rajya Sabha MP and Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Satnam Singh Sandhu recalled his story growing up in a village without a school but with an aspiration to do something for the nation. "Why should they have to go far when they can now learn, lead, and thrive right here in Uttar Pradesh?" he asked. With great fervor, he promised that CU-UP is not just another campus but a commitment to the people of Unaao and UP to bring the best of international education, research, and innovation to the youngsters of the soil.

Minister Nand Gopal Gupta called the introduction of CU-UP a huge step towards creating a ‘shashakt, samriddh aur shikshit Uttar Pradesh.’ He emphasized the role of education in the process of building the nation and also rejoiced in the partnership between the government and the private sector in establishing new standards in education.

Students, some of whom were first-generation learners coming from small towns, along with their parents, stood tall knowing they were on the path of making history. The inauguration was a celebration of new beginnings, a day full of wisdom, and a historic step toward realising the dream of Viksit Bharat.
