Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh was launched by Honorable Cabinet Minister Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ Ji at Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh.

On the 2nd of November, 2025, Honorable Cabinet Minister for Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI and Investment Promotion in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ Ji, launched ‘Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh’ - India’s biggest university-led launchpad for young innovators at India’s first AI-augmented multidisciplinary university, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh. The Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh is a launchpad platform to provide young and aspiring entrepreneurs with financial support & expert mentorship to boost innovation & entrepreneurship by turning their ideas into unicorns.

It is an excellent initiative & opportunity for students, a platform designed to uplift future innovators with a funding pool of USD 6 Million. Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Cube (Founders Space), backed by India's largest talent hiring platform ‘Apna’, with India’s leading early-stage investment firm Venture Catalysts(VCats), and AICTE, came together to boost India’s startup ecosystem by providing a one-stop solution for innovators below 30 years of age to transform their Startup ideas into high-impact ventures.

Since the launch of ‘Campus Tank’, over 1000 startups have become a part of this great initiative, out of which 10 outstanding startups have secured funding with their out-of-the-box ideas. These startups have not only secured the funding but also impressed the investors with their creativity, market potential, & scalability. These types of startups depict the success and effectiveness of the Campus Tank model & the university’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to boost the entrepreneurial culture in the nation, which is why Chandigarh University has earmarked pledged funding of USD 6 million for this initiative to help young entrepreneurs associated with ‘Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh’ from start to end of their journey. The primary objective is to remove the most recurring problems with every startup, i.e, getting funders onboard & getting funding from them. Though crowdfunding is one of the most preferred and easy ways of getting the funds but it takes a long time and lacks mentorship. But with ‘Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh’, the startups will be easily connected to the mentors, incubation facilities, and open networking pathways.

Hon'ble Minister, Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI and Investment Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ at the launch event of ‘Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh’, said, a university is a laboratory where “man-making” transforms into "nation-building." & Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, is working dedicatedly in this direction, and its efforts are modernizing education & aligning with global standards, which is commendable. The Hon’ble cabinet minister said ‘Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji over the past eleven years, India has emerged as the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with the number of startups growing at a rate of 12–15 percent annually. Our double-engine government has taken several important steps to promote innovation in Uttar Pradesh. Likewise, Chandigarh University’s TBI (Technology Business Incubation) Center has incubated more than 200 startups on campus, out of which 11 startups have achieved an annual turnover exceeding ₹50 lakh.’

The ideas and innovations will reach new heights with the ‘Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh’. Campus Tank has already come up as a great platform where many young innovators have presented their ideas before experts, investors, and mentors to scale up their startups.

Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ Ji, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI and Investment Promotion in the Government of Uttar Pradesh, unveiled ‘CU - AI Space’, after the launch of Campus Tank Uttar Pradesh, a dedicated space at the Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, designed for students, startups, and industry professionals to work together in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The ‘CU-AI Space’ at CU-UP has advanced tech and AI-powered tools to inspire & teach young innovators to develop solutions for real-world challenges through research, development, and innovation.
