Sketching is a foundational visual communication course designed to develop observation, hand–eye coordination, and expressive drawing skills essential for design disciplines. The course introduces learners to the fundamentals of freehand sketching, including line quality, form, proportion, shading, and figure construction. Emphasis is placed on sketching as a thinking tool—supporting ideation, conceptualization, and visual storytelling through structured practice, guided exercises, and real-world observation.
