Introduction to Robotics

Introduction to Robotics is a foundational course that introduces students to the fundamental concepts, components, and applications of robotic systems. The course provides an overview of the principles of robotics, including robot types, architecture, sensors, actuators, and control mechanisms used in modern robotic systems. Students will gain an understanding of the basic electronics and circuit principles that support robotic hardware and embedded systems.The course also introduces microprocessors, microcontrollers, and embedded platforms used in robotics and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Through practical examples and programming exercises, students will learn how to design simple robotic systems and control hardware components using programming languages such as C/C++ and platforms like Arduino

  • To Learn the basics of robotics and their types and applications
  • To understand the basics of electronics and principle of circuits
  • To learn about the basics of microprocessor, microcontrollers, embedded system and IoT
  • To write Arduino code using C/C++ to control different components and execute robotic tasks

  • CO1 - Students will able to understand the basics of robotics and circuits
  • CO2 - Students can differentiate between embedded system and IoT
  • CO3 - Students will be able to interface the Leds with Arduino Uno
